Ace Hood Reveals He Asked DJ Khaled For Financial Help, Speaks On New Album

The Def Jam rapper speaks on getting a second chance and reveals he asked DJ Khaled for financial assistance.

Ace Hood released his latest album Blood, Sweat & Tears yesterday, but he traveled a long road to get there. Speaking with Power 105’s The Breakfast Club, the Def Jam rapper explained that he faced eviction and financial troubles before beginning this album and that he wasn’t even sure if music was the right career choice.

“I’m ecstatic about it, man. I put my pain and my life experiences into this album. It’s truly what I’ve been through,” he said. “Prior to me actually taking time off, I went through a lot of ups and downs financially, personal situations in my life. So Blood, Sweat and Tears is just my grind, but it’s not so much about the struggle, but what I did to get through it.”
